American Internet Tech donates to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (August 2023)
Five new homes will make up the first ever St. Jude Dream Home Showplace Community in the Carillon Parc neighborhood of Southlake in late 2024. This pilot project, aimed at raising one million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, will bring together an extraordinary collaboration of builders, each renowned for their craftsmanship and commitment to philanthropy. Participating builders include Atwood Custom Homes, Beckett Graham, Heritage Homes, Kensington Custom Homes, WillowTree Custom Homes, who will each donate $200,000 to St. Jude as part of this pilot project. These donations will help support the cutting edge-research and treatment by the institution, where families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food—so they can focus on helping their child live.
A five-year-old in Powell has raised more than $600 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. When Willow Gast asked her dad if she could have a lemonade stand, she had no idea the impact she would make. She has held four lemonade stands in the month of July, and every penny will be going towards the hospital. She held her last stand outside of Fountain City Nutrition Saturday afternoon. Two weeks after her dad built her a stand, her mom found out about St. Jude’s Lemonade Stand Facebook Challenge. Her parents said the lemonade stand brought her imagination to life. After two friends of her parents lost children who were treated at St. Jude’s, they wanted her to learn the value of giving back. The money she raised contributed to more than $300,000 being raised nationwide through the challenge.
Children of Hospice of Texarkana staff will also put their lemonade recipes to good use this week to raise money for medical research. The Kids Helping Kids lemonade stand will set up Thursday, Aug. 3 in an effort to raise money to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. These healthy children are motivated by their selfless healthcare providing parents to help others, and especially to help children in need. The event will be the second fundraiser in less than a month.
These kids are showing the beautiful pathway that we should all follow. American Internet Tech applauds their effort and contributes to this cause by making one more monthly donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
