American Internet Tech donates to American Cancer Society (December 2018)
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! For many, Christmas is a time for family, enjoying good food and exchanging presents with loved ones. For many, it's a time for children - to see their excitement build as the big day approaches and to watch their faces as they unwrap their presents. It's an opportunity to spend time with the family and to watch the children's excitement build. It's a time to reflect and be grateful for what the year has provided.
But for many people, Christmas is a milestone. Hearing of their own or a person’s close to them diagnosis, means not knowing whether they will spend another Christmas together as a family. As we approach the festive season, a happy time for so many, it can be challenging for those who are experiencing cancer first hand or with a loved one. For some people it will be the first Christmas without a family member or a cherished friend, while others are facing decisions, treatments and the uncertainty of what the future may hold.
Christmas is a time for giving. Whilst many of us will be enjoying time with our loved ones at home, families affected by cancer don’t have the luxury of a worry-free Christmas, and may even be spending theirs in hospital.
Our Christmas appeal focuses on these families. American Internet Tech makes one more donation to the American Cancer Society, in our effort to help bring hope to all of those, suffering from cancer.
